The artwork “Volcanic Journey,” created from volcanic stones and dust brought to me from the latest adventure project of Richard „Gaspi“ Gasperotti and the Spor In Art — descending the active volcano Pico Do Fogo. The piece is a unique fusion of energy and determination.

“Like Gaspi, I too had to face the loss of my father at the end of the year. In creating this piece, I found inspiration not only in Gaspi’s volcanic journey, but in his personal one as well. Richard leaves a symbolic trace wherever he goes — including in me.
I wanted to savor that ride alongside him and craft a unique structure woven with
colors and countless pathways, whether downhill trails or the journeys we face in life. I sought for the expressive organic textures formed by volcanic matter to stand in sharp contrast with the bold, colorful brushstrokes that evoke eruption, transformation, and strength. I wanted fragments of the earth to become part of the painting — not merely as a medium, but as the very message, where matter transforms into energy,”
